Another one bites the dust

Welcome! If you've read the 'About Me' section to the left, you know what the purpose of this blog is, but if not, I'll just tell you that it's basically a kick in the pants to myself to remind me to take time out of each day and get a little creative. I can't promise everything I post on here is going to be a spectacular work of art, but if it's get my juices flowing just a little bit, that's good enough for me.

The vast majority of what you'll see on here will be papercrafts, primarily cards, made with the Stampin' Up! family of products. If you don't know me, I've been an SU! demonstrator since February 2008. One of the reasons is that I feel SU! products are far superior in quality to many other products on the market. I love how the papers, cardstocks, inks, and other accessories all coordinate with the stamps.

My first creation for this blog is the header at the top, created using SU!'s My Digital Studio software. MDS is a great program, although it can be understandably overwhelming if you're new to a graphics program. SU! has created a website specifically for MDS at www.mydigitalstudio.net. The website has a world of resources to help you get started, with an online image gallery, message boards, and tons of tutorial videos uploaded by other MDS users.

If you're a craft person, I hope you may find something in this blog that inspires you. I welcome all criticisms, both good and bad, for I believe it will only help me grow as an artist. I look forward to undertaking this crafting adventure for the next 365 days.
